Claudius Peters Projects GmbH has received a contract from Hargreaves Raw Material Services GmbH for the construction of a coal grinding plant in Duisberg, Germany. The order also includes coal dust silos and truck loading facilities.
Hargreaves is a raw materials trader with plans to build up its own coal grinding capability to supply clients in Germany and Western Europe, including the cement sector. The plant will be installed in the vicinity of DK Recycling and Roheisen, who will also operate the plant.
The full scope of supply includes raw coal handling, a 52 tph coal grinding plant, pneumatic conveying to existing coal dust silos over a distance of around 500 m, and four coal dust silos with truck loading. The grinding plant includes a Claudius Peters EM 95 – 6228 mill.
Claudius Peters will also supply erection, commissioning, and staff training. Commissioning is planned for 4Q18.
Hargreaves Raw Material Services is an associated company of LSE-listed Hargreaves Services plc, a UK-based company providing services to the infrastructure, energy, and property sectors. In 2017, Hargreaves Raw Materials Services reported a significant rise in operating profits to £8.4 million from £1.8 million the previous year.
