Cemex UK’s North Yorkshire Readymix team spent their Lend-A-Hand day in Dalby Forest helping the Park Ranger to clear forest cycle paths and renew drainage systems.
The event was arranged by Garry Blakeston, Cemex Plant Manager at Malton and Stuart Startup, Dalby Forest Park Ranger.
Paul Miller, Technician, and Steve Griffiths, Sales Rep, spent the day with Stuart and Garry. Steve commented: “The day was hard work but very rewarding, also educational and most of all very enjoyable”.

Holcim and Cemex have announced the completion of their series of transactions in Europe, which includes operations in western Germany, the Czech Republic and Spain.
Cemex and BirdLife, who formed a global biodiversity conservation partnership in 2007, held a ceremony endorsing the European Union’s Nature Conservation Policy.
As part of a new co-processing agreement, Cemex uses the non-recyclable waste produced at GM Motors’ San Luis Potosi complex in Mexico as a form of alternative fuel in its cement plants.
