Irish building materials firm CRH has announced the co-option to the board of Patrick Kennedy as a non-executive director, with effect from 1 January 2015. Mr Kennedy joins the board having retired this year from SHV Holdings, a large family-owned Dutch multinational company with interests in energy, industrial services, heavy lifting and transport solutions, among others, where he was Chairman of the Executive Board of Directors.
Mr Kennedy holds a Master’s degree in Business Studies from University College Dublin and a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the National University of Ireland, Galway.
CRH plc has announced that it has reached an agreement to divest its clay and concrete businesses in the UK and its clay business in the US to funds managed by Bain Capital Europe LLP.
