The Rohrdorf Group's application to acquire a controlling 49% stake in Asamer Baustoffe Holding GmbH (ABHO) has been approved by the competition authorities in Austria and Slovakia.

The stake includes two ready-mixed concrete plants in Vienna, six ready-mixed concrete plants in Slovakia and the CEMMAC cement plant, which is located in Horné Srnie, Slovakia. The entry will take effect retroactively as of January 1, 2024.

The previous minority shareholder STRABAG has left Asamer Baustoffe Holding GmbH as part of the unbundling process - a process that was completed on December 12th. In this context, the ready-mixed concrete plants in Gerasdorf and Simmering were transferred to STRABAG.

ABHO is a leading company in the building materials industry with headquarters in Ohlsdorf, Austria. The holding company coordinates and manages the activities of its subsidiaries, which are active in the areas of cement production, concrete production and raw material extraction. Just like Rohrdorfer, Asamer also has a strong focus on sustainability, innovation and customer orientation. By entering the Slovakian cement market, Rohrdorfer, together with partner and ABHO managing director Manfred Asamer, is expanding its regional presence.
