According to BelTA, the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has approved the formation of a new cement holding company – Belarusian Cement Corporation. It has been reported that the company will include a transport and logistics firm as well as three cement plants: Belarusian Cement Plant, Krasnoselskstroinmaterialy and Krichevtsementnoshifer. The company would be established by 2014. The formation of the new cement holding company aims to lower construction material costs, develop new products and increase market reach.
The VDMA’s Association for Construction Equipment and Building Material Machinery has provided an update on the performance of the industry, following its earlier 2013 forecast in February.
