During the January – October 2014 period, Mikhailovcement, part of the Eurocement Group, produced 1.073 million t of clinker and 1.334 million t of high quality and environmentally friendly cement, representing an 11.2% (108 220 t) and 17.2% (195 900 t) y/y increase, respectively, compared to the first ten months of 2013. The company also shipped its customers 1.356 million t of cement during the ten-month period, an 18.1% (208 306 t) y/y increase compared to the same period a year earlier.
During the first ten months of 2014, the company produced 747 657 t of cement type CEM II/A-SH 32.5B, a 13.6% (89 717 t) y/y increase compared to January – October 2013. Furthermore, production of cement type CEM I 42.5 N increased by 68.2% y/y (130 827 t) to 322 785 t.
Eurocement’s Russian subsidiares Mikhailovcement and Nevyanskiy Cementnik
recorded an increase in cement production of 31.6% y/y and 16% y/y, respectively, in April 2014.
Eurocement and Sberbank of Russia have signed a cooperation agreement to secure funding for the construction of new dry process cement manufacturing plants.
In 2013, the Eurocement Group invested more than RUB257 million in its Russian subsidiary Maltsovsky Portlandcement to improve product quality and energy efficiency.
