Cemex France will supply approximately 225 cubic metres of specialised concrete for the rehabilitation of the former Le Normandy cinema-theatre, a historic cultural venue in Le Havre, Normandy, renowned for hosting numerous celebrated artists.
To meet the demanding acoustic requirements, the project incorporates two concrete slabs integrated with an insulating layer. Cemex provided the initial 112 cubic metres of concrete to Legendre Constructions last March. The remaining 112 cubic metres slab will be poured in the coming weeks.
After years of closure and having been declared unsafe, the former Le Normandy cinema-theatre – an iconic 1934 Art Deco heritage site– is now the focus of an ambitious rehabilitation project. This initiative aims to transform the historic building into a welcoming cultural, artistic, and civic hub for the community, with a projected reopening by the close of 2025.
