Hanson supplies concrete for Lexington building

Concrete supplied by Hanson has been used to create the sub- and super-structure of one of London’s landmark residential buildings: Lexington, Islington.

The building’s core, floorplates and structural rectangular columns are all constructed out of concrete, which was chosen due to the height of the structure. Concrete not only provides significant wind resistance, but also fire and acoustic separation between the apartments.

Hanson supplied all of the concrete for the project and worked with contractor AJ Morrisroe & Sons to design the specialist concretes for each element.
