Holcim has announced that after the successful public exchange offer and the probable closing of the merger with Lafarge, Andreas Leu and Bernard Terver will step down from the Holcim Executive Committee.
Andreas Leu will leave his role as head of the Americas with effect from 1 August 2015. Bernard Terver will assume the position as Head of India for LafargeHolcim.
The Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of Holcim Ltd have thanked both men for their contribution to the company.
As part of their proposed merger, Lafarge and Holcim have entered exclusive negotiations with CRH regarding the sale of several assets, including operations in Europe, Canada, Brazil and the Philippines.
Rather than combining their operations in Spain as originally announced, Cemex will acquire Holcim’s Gador cement plant and Yeles grinding facility and Holcim will retain its remaining assets in the country.
