Savinskiy Cement
Eurocement Group’s subsidiary Savinskiy Cement has announced promising results for the first ten months of 2013. During the period, cement production increased by 6% y/y to reach 605 133 t, with clinker production rising by 11% y/y to 517 176 t. Production of the subsidiary’s most popular cement type CEM II/A-SH 32.5N came in at 480 149 t, 153 800 t more than the amount produced in the first ten months of 2012. Cement sales also experienced growth, with shipments up 3.4% y/y in 1Q13 – 3Q13.
In January – October 2013, 723 772 t of limestone and 168 1000 t of clay was extracted from Savinskiy cement plant’s quarry sites, representing as increase of 11.3% y/y and 29.9% y/y, respectively.
Akhangarancement
Akhangarancement, another subsidiary of Russia’s Eurocement Group, also reported a rise in cement and clinker production levels during the first ten months of the year. Around 1.33 million t of cement and 954 330 t of clinker was produced, 0.7% and 7.2% higher than in the corresponding period in 2012. Production of SHPC 400 cement increased by 189.6% y/y to 336 587 t, while packaged cement was up 11.6% y/y. Akhangarancement produced 29 341 t more of cement dispatched in paper bags than it did in January – October 2012. Sales volumes were up 0.2% y/y to 1.32 million t, and limestone extraction rose 8.4% y/y to 1.34 million t.
