Winterhill, specialists in asset valuation and recovery support, has won a global contract to value and dispose of more than £35 million of construction and mining equipment for a multinational client.

The assets in question have completed their contractual use and include a range of construction, mining and excavation equipment from brands including Caterpillar, Volvo, JCB and Ingersoll Rand.

Winterhill is a Manchester, UK-based business and these assets are located across Southeast Asia, India and North Africa. Iain Gash, Director of Machinery and Business Assets at Winterhill, said: “This is a mammoth job for our international team, but asset valuation and disposal has always been at the heart of our business here at Winterhill so it is especially satisfying to be awarded a high profile contract such as this one.”

He added: “By selling the equipment via private treaty we can negotiate directly with buyers for a mutual price, rather than selling by an auction or tender process. It means we can listen to offers at any time and negotiate the best price.”
