Jacques Bourgon, currently Head of OH&S for the Holcim Group, Senior Advisor to the CEO, and member of the senior management, has decided to resign and pursue other challenges outside the company. He will be leaving Holcim on 31 December 2014.
Holcim thanked Jacques Bourgon for the valuable contributions he has made to Holcim’s success in various roles during his 24 years with the company.
Rather than combining their operations in Spain as originally announced, Cemex will acquire Holcim’s Gador cement plant and Yeles grinding facility and Holcim will retain its remaining assets in the country.
Holcim has announced that it has not yet received the final installment of compensation from Corporación Socialista del Cemento S.A. relating to the nationalisation of Holcim Venezuela in 2008.
