Cemex supplied over 45 000 cubic metres of concrete for the Žabovreská Street section of the Brno City Ring Road in the Czech Republic, one of the most technically demanding infrastructure projects in the city’s history.
The Brno City Ring Road is a major infrastructure project designed to significantly improve traffic flow in one of the Czech Republic’s busiest urban corridors. Once completed, the route will accommodate four lanes of traffic and a modernised tram line.
Cemex delivered specialised concrete mixes for key structures, including a 500-metre tram tunnel beneath Wilson Forest and two monolithic concrete galleries. Operations required continuous and nighttime deliveries under challenging conditions.
This project reflects Cemex’s commitment to supporting essential infrastructure with efficient, high-performance solutions that create long-term value for customers, communities, and shareholders.
