BIGBOSS CEMENT Inc., with a plant located in the province of Pampanga, Philippines, has recognised the advantages of Gebr. Pfeiffer’s ready2grind plant concept, comprising a 4-roller vertical roller mill, and is of the opinion that ready2grind meets the requirements and provides the highest plant availability. The described plant, ready2grind 2500 for cement grinding, is currently under construction and will produce cement in Porac, near Angeles City in the Central Luzon region.

The selected plant type reaches a capacity of about 70 tph for a cement with a specific surface area of 4 000 cm²/g according to Blaine. In addition to the grinding plant, the scope of supply also includes the packing plant module for bag and bulk loading. The delivery is completed by add-ons, such as the GPpro software for preventive maintenance and improved remote support – a testament to BBCI’s commitment to technological infrastructure and methods in producing high-quality and environment-friendly cement products.

With local service staff in the Philippines and a wide range of after-sales support solutions, this customer will also be provided with a comprehensive service package in the usual Gebr. Pfeiffer manner.

Due to the SARS-CoV-2 lockdown, commissioning may be somewhat delayed, as global restrictions may affect customer and suppliers. Nevertheless, Gebr. Pfeiffer currently has experienced specialists on site and is therefore able to support the customer in this phase as well.

The number of reference plants for the successful ready2grind concept continues to grow. Gebr. Pfeiffer ready2grind systems are now successfully in operation on three continents. Numerous enquiries also confirm that ready2grind plants are the adequate solution for one of the most pressing issues in today's cement world.

For the Philippines this is the second vertical roller mill from Gebr. Pfeiffer for cement grinding.
