For the first time in Mongolia, national cement producers are jointly organizing “Cement Expo 2025”, which will take place on May 2, 2025, at the MPM Event Hall, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
The expo will bring together local and international experts, as well as specialists from the cement industry, to share insights into the current global trends in cement manufacturing. Topics will include cutting-edge technologies, modern production methods, product quality and standards, and innovative features being introduced by Mongolian cement producers. Developments in the broader construction sector will also be discussed.
Market Overview: Mongolia’s cement market has an estimated annual capacity of 2.2 million t, supplied by seven domestic producers. Key players in the industry include Moncement, Khutul, MAK, and Khovd Eco-Cement.
Innovation Highlight: One of the leading producers, Moncement, was featured in World Cement in 2016 (link). The company introduced Mongolia’s first Waste Heat Recovery System, generating 100 million kWh of energy to date by capturing excess heat from the clinker production process. This not only increases energy efficiency but also significantly reduces CO2 emissions.
Looking Ahead: The event will also highlight how advanced economies are incorporating artificial intelligence into heavy manufacturing. Experts will share insights and innovative approaches to AI integration in the cement and construction industries.
