New Managing Director for Binani Cement

Indian cement manufacturer, Binani Cement Ltd, has announced the appointment of Mr Jotirmoy Ghose as its new Managing Director.

Binani Cement is the flagship subsidiary of the US$1.6 billion Braj Binani Group. The Group has a global cement manufacturing capacity of 11.25 million tpa and has subsidiaries in Dubai and China. Bianai Cement products have a significant market share in Rajasthan and other regions in northern and western India. The company is currently expanding its footprint in India and across key global markets, including China.

Mr Ghose is an industry veteran, known for his 25 years’ experience in the areas of operations, business development, market strategy and project execution. He has been associated with the cement and building materials industry for the past 15 years. He has been involved in a number of mergers, acquisitions, execution of greenfield projects and market development initiatives across the markets of Kenya, Nigeria, UK, Kazakhistan, Australia, India and the UAE.

Mr Jotirmoy Ghose said of his new role: “I am pleased to get associated with one of India’s oldest business groups and drive one of the best cement brands of India. Leveraging the brand’s standing in Indian and global markets, I would focus on further reinforcing this positioning.”
