Kazakh cement producer, Steppe Cement, reported 3Q18 revenue up 26% on the previous year, while year-to-date revenue covering the first nine months of the year was up 25%.
The increase in revenue was delivered primarily through an increase in prices, which were 15% higher over the first nine months of the year compared to 2017. This reflects the company’s efforts to support price rises against volume growth.
Volumes were down 5% in 3Q17, although they were up over the first nine months, by 4% on 2017.
