Claudius Peters Projects has won a contract from Indonesia’s PT Semen Padang for two new cement storage silos for the new Indarung VI plant.

The scope of supply includes two storage silos, type IC with inspection chamber, each measuring 20 m dia. and with a volume of 9000m3. The silos are to be placed on two rail tracks in line with four existing Claudius Peters IC silos, which were supplied in the 1990s. Of particular note with this latest project was the fact that the two tracks on which the silos are places have curves of different radius.

Indarung VI is expected to commence operation in 2H16 and will also be equipped with two new packing plants supplied by Claudius Peters.

PT Semen Padang was established in 1910 and is the oldest cement plant in Indonesia. It is a subsidiary of Semen Indonesia.
