On 15 September, Ohorongo Cement donated 30 reflective jackets, worth N$. 2400, to the Otavi Police. Inspector Shipepe and his team, who received the jackets, were very appreciative of the donation, which was intended to support the fight against crime in the town of Otavi by assisting the police and traffic cops with increased safety precautions, especially at night.

“These officers have to put themselves in harms’ way very often, especially during night, or in unfavourable visibility conditions. These officers man our roadblocks or attend to accidents in the region, and this is just a small token of our support towards the constant fight against crime,” said Rudolf Coetzee, General Administration Manager of Ohorongo Cement. “Safety is of the utmost importance to us, not only within our own business, but also within our communities.”
