The Iranian Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade has announced that in Q1 2015 cement production reached 15.774 million t and clinker output passed 19.264 million t.
The Ministry also announced that in the same period around 4.34 million t cement was exported abroad.
Iranian Current output capacity in cement is 80 million t a year, which is expected to reach 120 million t in the next 10 years.

Iran is continuing to push its cement industry, producing more than 23.8 million t of cement in the first four months.
Iran exported some 3.4 million t of cement during the first two months of the current financial year, a 20% y/y increase compared to the same period in 2013.
Reports indicate that in the first month of the Iranian calendar year, Iran produced more than 4.5 million t of cement.
Iran, the world’s fourth largest cement producer, could overtake US production if the country’s 75 million tpa nominal capacity becomes actual capacity.
