Turkish cement production rose in February, continuing a good start to the year. Production was 9.35% up year-on-year at 5.29 million t, according to data from the Turkish Cement Manufacturers Association.
Year-to-date, production stands at 10.19 million t, a 23.97% increase on the first two months of 2017.
Central Anatolia continued its strong production growth, reporting an 84.18%year-on-year increase in February. This follows a 177.70% year-on-year increase in January.
Central Anatolia was not the only region to enjoy strong growth, however: all regions reported double-digit production growth with the exception of Mediterranean, which reported a 6.26% fall in cement production.
Clinker production rose 29.10% in the Mediterranean region, however, helping to feed a 40.40% increase in clinker exports.
