Heading from #grey2green – the path to a sustainable future in the cement business

Next to the Corona pandemic, sustainability is the urgent global topic of our times. All over the world politicians, regulative authorities and societies are discussing how to reduce greenhouse emissions radically and efficiently – sooner rather than later. As an emitter of 7% CO2, this puts the cement industry under tremendous pressure globally.

In this presentation thyssenkrupp will present their vision for a green polysius® cement plant, which is setting the industry on a path to a sustainable future. With their first ready-to-implement solutions they address the industry’s five most pressing needs:

  • Reducing emissions such as NOx, NH3, and CO2
  • Preserving resources such as raw materials, water, fuels, coal and gas
  • Using smart data to optimise cement production and integrate the cement plant in a digitalised value chain
  • Saving energy in production
  • Creating new binder compositions that help reduce energy consumption and emissions
  • Join thyssenkrupp at the Sustainability 2020 online conference to learn more about the company’s green
