WEBINAR - Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS) – Supporting your industry to become net-zero

13 July 2021 - 13 July 2021

Protecting, preserving, and restoring the environment are major goals for modern cement producers.

In this webinar, product and industry experts from SICK will talk about the different technologies used to measure exhaust gases from cement production on a continuous basis and the differences between process gas and emission monitoring.

Exhaust gases from industrial processes can have negative effects on the environment and our everyday life. Being a highly energy intensive industry, cement production accounts for approximately 8% of all global CO2 emissions. Other primary pollutants, like NOx or volatile organic carbons (VOCs) are directly linked to the formation of photochemical smog, and NH3 emissions can lead to eutrophication and severe reduction in water quality. The substitution of conventional fuels like coal, oil or gas with alternative waste fuels increases the demand for precise emission data logging – also because of stricter regulations.

Florian Greiter, Product Manager Analysers at SICK, and Siegfried Andraess, Strategic Industry Manager Building Materials at SICK, will talk about the different technologies being used to measure exhaust gases from cement production on a continuous basis, while focusing on hot-wet multicomponent and single component gas analyser technologies. You’ll leave knowing answers to the questions surrounding what you need to consider when upgrading your continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS) and which regulations you need to follow.

Ask the experts: In addition to a high-quality presentation, World Cement's Editor, David Bizley, will host a live Q&A with Florian and Siegfried. Attendees will be able to submit questions live throughout the course of the webinar.

Added value: All registered attendees will receive a full recording of the presentation, so you can review the content whenever needed.
