Cement and flyash donations for CIM auction

World Cement,

The Concrete Industry Management (CIM) programme has announced a number of the generous donations made to its annual auction at World of Concrete. The CIM programme is a four-year Bachelor of Science degree in concrete industry management, the first of its kind in the US. The programme accepted its first students at the Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) in 1996, and was later introduced at California State University, Chico, Texas State University and the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Currently, more than 600 students are taking the course.

The auction at World of Concrete is one of the programme’s main sources of funding. It has been running for nine years, raising almost US$4 million. In 2014, over 150 items were donated, generating more than US$810 000. The 10th annual auction, which includes both a live and a silent auction, will take place on 4 February in the Las Vegas Convention Center. Items range from concrete mixer trucks, to sports and holiday packages, to truckloads of cement and flyash. The following building material producers are among those who have donated cement and flyash.
