World Cement,

The aim of the service centers is to guarantee the availability and operation of customers’ equipment by preventing failures through well-planned and professionally executed maintenance. The new facility will offer a wide range of services to the cement and minerals industry in both Brazil and elsewhere in South America, including inspections, conversions and field service activities. It will service and repair components and equipment for the whole of the Aumund Group, such as those supplied by Schade Lagertechnik GmbH and Samson Materials Handling Ltd. Stocking spare parts, manufacturing pan conveyors and assembling chains are among the other functions of the new service centre.

The Aumund service team in Brazil currently comprises ten qualified and experienced specialists, including supervisors, inspectors and technicians. The inspectors are trained to carry out PREMAS® inspections – a concept developed by Aumund to ensure customers are provided with efficient preventive maintenance services. PREMAS® is based around four key areas: regular inspections; operator and maintenance personnel training; consulting; extension of guarantee.

Aumund Brazil commenced operations in 1974, when a sales office was set up in Rio de Janeiro. This was relocated to Jundai in São Paulo state in 1993 and then to the city of São Paulo in 1997.
