In the 2015 financial year, Lindner-Recyclingtech posted a 12% increase in turnover compared to the year before. This result supports Lindner in their intention to invest €6.5 million in expanding their production space and the establishment of the "Technikum" R&D facility in Feistritz/Drau this year. At the same time, the German offices in Eisenach will gain in importance as they become the sales and service centre for the northern European region.

Lindner-Recyclingtech is transferring production of the URRACO line from Eisenach to Feistritz an der Drau so that production of Lindner machines will be under one roof. This restructuring will massively expand the production plant in Feistritz an der Drau in the coming months and create 60 new jobs. At the same time, the facility in Eisenach, Germany, will cease production and become the strategic hub of the Lindner Group with responsibility for sales and service in Germany and northern Europe.

The specialist in shredding technology and processing alternative fuels intends to expand the facility in Feistritz an der Drau by adding a new production line and a new R&D centre. €6.5 million has been earmarked for investment in creating the production space required.

In Feistritz, capacity will be increased by 90 to 100 machines per year until the expansion programme ends in 2018. To achieve this, 40 new jobs in production will be created in the mid-term. A further 20 jobs will be created in the services and after-sales sectors.

This expansion will bring Lindner massive advantages in terms of cost reductions and synergies. In addition, it will make further steps towards Industry 4.0 possible and enable processes to be optimised. "Industry 4.0 gives us the opportunity to adopt more intelligent production methods and opens up new business models," says CEO Manuel Lindner. "Machinery and processes emerge that can be linked. Data exchange across the entire life cycle will become possible."

The expansion will also raise the profile of the Research & Development sector with the establishment of a new customer-oriented R&D centre. Prototype construction will be the centre's main task. Plans also include construction of technical testing plants and the organisation of customer demonstrations, in-house shows and dealers' conventions. To accommodate all this, the new R&D centre will have floor space of around 1000 m².
