World Cement,
Akhangarancement, a holding of Eurocement Group, has commissioned a new vacuum unit DISAB SDT-20T, which is being produced in Sweden. The acquisition of the vacuum unit is the next stage of the programme of environmental activities of the company.
The vacuum unit is indispensable in the areas of the industry where there is a need to collect loose or viscous materials from particularly inaccessible areas. The unit is a hopper connected to a hose, through which the material is drawn up. The collected material is easily unloaded from the hopper using the built-in tilting cylinder. The new unit has a diesel engine, as opposed to an electric one. It will be used to clean the entire plant, and at maximum operating volume will collect and recycle up to 25 – 30 t of material daily.
It is planned to use the vacuum to clean the inner surfaces of production machinery, in order to increase their capacity. The vacuum unit will then also help to reduce production downtime, reduce accidents, reduce the intensity of wear and tear on the main equipment and optimise the process.
In addition to the economic and performance benefits the new vacuum cleaning technology will bring to the plant, a social impact will also be felt, since it contributes to the improvement of the culture of production, as well as improving industrial safety at the site.
